Introducing the latest addition to Michael Stevenson's backroom team – Eva Douglas, Team First Aider.
AFC North Kilworth Women are delighted to officially welcome Eva Douglas to the club as our Team First Aider for the 2026/27 season.
Although Eva was a familiar face alongside Michael Stevenson throughout last season, she now joins the backroom team in an official capacity and will work closely with our Team Physiotherapist to provide first aid cover on both matchdays and training nights.
Having previously played football herself, Eva understands the physical and emotional demands that the game places on players. Her experience as both a player and first aider allows her to provide reassurance, support and care whenever it's needed, helping to create an environment where players can perform with confidence.
We caught up with Eva to learn a little more about her.
Welcome to AFC North Kilworth! How does it feel to be joining the club?
Wicked! I'm really excited to officially become part of the team and can't wait to get started.
What made AFC North Kilworth the right club for you, and why did you decide to join the project?
I want to see women enjoying football, feeling free to express themselves and playing a sport that brings so many people together. Women's football hasn't always had the opportunities it deserves, so being part of a club helping to change that really appealed to me.
Tell our supporters a little about yourself and your journey so far.
I played football growing up and was surrounded by the game from a young age. I've always loved the way football brings together people from all walks of life, and now I have the opportunity to support women on their own football journeys while continuing to be involved in a sport I love.
You'll be working under Michael Stevenson. What excites you most about working alongside him and the coaching team?
His passion.
The dedication and enthusiasm he brings to everything he does is infectious, and it's exciting to be part of what he's building.
What values and qualities do you hope to bring to the players and the club?
Resilience and teamwork.
I want players to know they are supported, looked after and encouraged every step of the way.
How would you describe your approach in three words?
Funny. Tailored. Professional.
What are your ambitions for yourself and the team this season?
To show the league exactly who we are.
What can players expect from you on the training pitch and on matchdays?
Lots of encouragement, motivation, positivity and plenty of energy. I'll always be there to support the players however I can.
How important is creating a positive environment on and off the pitch?
Very important. It's what makes a team work. Players need to feel safe, supported and comfortable being themselves, because that's when they'll perform at their best.
Finally, do you have a message for the AFC North Kilworth supporters?

"I am excited to welcome Eva to the team. She was alongside me throughout last season providing support, and it gives me great pleasure to officially bring her into our backroom staff to look after all matchday and training first aid alongside our Team Physiotherapist.
Eva also has a playing background herself, which gives her a fantastic understanding of player welfare, recovery and the care that footballers require both on and off the pitch. She has a calming influence around the squad, genuinely cares about the players, and I'm delighted she has agreed to be part of our journey."
